A Message from the Principal

Welcome to Lincoln Intermediate! I am Dan Arjes, Principal of Lincoln. I am a proud supporter of the Riverhawks and a dedicated member of the Mason City community. I am blessed with a great family, my wife Kate serves as the Activities Secretary at Mason City High School and our daughters, Carleigh and Meleah, attend MCHS and John Adams Middle School, respectively. We enjoy attending their many school events and activities throughout the year. Prior to administration I was an art teacher, and I continue to enjoy creative outlets. I am also an avid outdoorsman who enjoys time fishing and training our yellow lab, Boyd.

I am committed to fostering a school environment at Lincoln that is safe, predictable, and successful for all students. I believe in strong relationships developed through respectful and responsible behaviors. We will maintain high expectations, with the goal of best preparing students for their transition to secondary school, ready to embrace opportunity as they continue their journey as a Riverhawk.
